Still in Uniform?

I spent 4 years in the Michigan Army National Guard, 15 years Active Army, and I am now in the Army Reserves. I can say with confidence that I have a working knowledge of these organizations and the benefits they bring to the table. Other reserve branches are very resourceful as well and provide similar benefits.

Of course the difference being that reserves are federal and Air/ Army Guard are state agencies. Both deploy and have Active Guard Reserves slots available should you want to pursue full time in uniform again. Below is a link to AGR slots by state.

Take advantage of Tuition Assistance the reserves and guard offer. The State of Texas has the Hazelwood Act which offers financial assistance for anyone who enlisted in the State of Texas for at least 3 years active duty.
